This is a beautiful example of the inlay work we
USED to be able to get
    .  This piece is clean,  0.045" - 0.050" (1.14mm - 1.27mm) thick
    white mother of pearl
    measuring 1.378" (35mm) wide by .338" (8.59mm) tall.

    MASTERTONE
pearl name block that is a reproduction of the late 1950's through the late 1960's slanted lettering of the Gibson Bowtie banjos. These
    MASTERTONE
name blocks were smaller than the earlier ones made before World War 2 and you can clearly see in the 2 pictures of original examples, these are extremely good!
This part is the CORRECT size to match a late 1950s through the late 1960s Gibson RB-250 "Bowtie" and standard (post Bowtie RB-250 Mastertone) Banjo,

This isn't coming from China... this is coming from Virginia, USA where I work on the real deal every day!
This IS NOT a laser-cut automated or burn in process, these are genuine engraved lettering. As you can see in the photograph with one of these sitting on the fingerboard of an original right over top of the genuine article as well as a second example of a genuine Bowtie RB-250, the originals will vary in engraving depth and clarity, but not these.  These are crisp and finely engraved.
RB-250 Bow Tie Gibson banjo neck builders, repair people, luthiers and pearl inlay artists ... DON'T LET THESE GET AWAY!
    PLEASE NOTE:
Because these are finely engraved to match the originals, I highly recommend that
you very carefully install these to the proper depth and as neatly as possible.
If you sand these, you will sand through the lettering
.  That's how close these are to the way the original ones were engraved.  So, sand from the bottom before you commit to glueing these in, please.
    GET THESE WHILE YOU CAN!
    Thank you,
